The MPhil in Education allows you to study towards a research degree rather than a taught programme. This gives you flexibility to study something which is important to your own interests. You can either continue your studies towards a PhD or you can apply your knowledge within an educational setting internationally. Research students come from all over the world and degrees are offered either on a full time or part time basis on campus or via distance learning. Research is integrated across four distinct themes which include:
The School of Education offer a seminar series which you are welcome to attend within the School and across the wider university. The School offers routes into teaching, professional learning and continued professional development and research. More recently there are additional programmes and courses available in mindfulness, and access courses to teaching. The School of Education works with a number of educational partners across all levels of education. Networks include many Scottish local authorities, Erasmus and various universities around the world.
