You can research for either an MREs or an MPhil in Management. You can design your research and draw from research experiences which are cross disciplinary due to the nature of management cutting across disciplines. You may then decide to continue to study a PhD or you may apply your skills and knowledge to a wide range of industry needs. The Business School provides research across economics, general practice, public health, and health economics. We won a Queen’s Anniversary Prize in 2018 for continuous research over the past 40 years which has had a significant impact on behaviour, surgery and health improvements in the UK and beyond by combining economics and health research.

Management research and analytical skills are highly applicable to a wide range of disciplines and sectors including multinational industries and new innovations. Many of our research students apply their knowledge to become specialists and they return to senior positions in their own country.
The Business School has been ranked third in the UK for impact in Business and Management Studies (Times Higher Education REF 2014 GPA scores). Our postgraduate taught degrees often carry professional accreditations from CIM, ACCA, CIMA and other internationally recognised professional bodies and this allows our students to gain a head start in business.
