You can study an MRes or an MPhil research postgraduate degree which you can then either continue to PhD or apply your specialist expertise to a number of industry areas. The discipline attracts international academics with wide ranging lecturing and research portfolios worldwide and it attracts an equally diverse student cohort. Research is conducted at the New Europe Centre. This centre researches Europe in terms of behaviour, values, people and policy. There is a seminar series in the discipline area and there are also seminars and events in the wider School and University which you are welcome to attend.
Research centres include the New Europe Centre, and Centre for Global Security and Governance. Staff research interests include political economy and biosocial theory, the changing nature of religion, religion and sexual deviance, gender, ethnic identity, nationalisms, racism, societal change, peace and conflict studies, civil war, quality of life and community wellbeing and more.
